Learning Communities

Tom Cox is a 5th and 6th grade school. Students are assigned to a learning community which creates small schools within the school. The learning communities make it possible, for most classes, to be in close proximity with a closely knit community of teachers who care together. Within each learning community there is a Reading, Social Studies/Language, Math, and Science classroom. Each student starts with a home base teacher and together they move to each classroom within the community.

What Enrichment Courses are available?

Students attend physical education and a fine arts course every day. They may select from one of the following fine arts courses: Band, Choir, Orchestra, or they may select a rotation of general music and art.

Any new student coming from outside Conroe Independent School District will need the following forms in order to register.

Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Immunizations
Copy of the guardian's driver's license
Proof of Residency (Utility Bill, Lease, etc.)
Any report cards or standardized test from the previous school
