Learning Communities
Tom Cox is a 5th and 6th grade school.  Students are assigned to a learning community which creates small schools within the school.  The learning communities make it possible, for most classes, to be in close proximity with a closely knit community of teachers who care together.  Within each learning community there is a Reading, Social Studies/Language, Math, and Science classroom.  Each student starts with a home base teacher and together they move to each classroom within the community.

What Enrichment Courses are available?
Students attend physical education and a fine arts course every day.  They may select from one of the following fine arts courses:  Band, Choir, Orchestra, or Art.
