Conroe ISD is monitoring the evolving situation regarding 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. We work closely with the Montgomery County Public Health Department in communicable disease surveillance and follow the Communicable Disease Chart for Schools and Child-Care Centers from the Texas Department of State Health Services. While there are currently no reports of this illness in our area, families are encouraged to visit the CDC website for more information and travel guidance regarding COVID-19. No additional precautions have been advised for Conroe ISD at this time; however, we continue to monitor the situation with our local health partners and will provide additional information as warranted. Families are asked to continue following best practices with regard to preventive actions in stopping the spread of germs such as thorough hand washing, covering nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing, and limiting contact with others if not feeling well.
