Fentanyl is safe when taken as prescribed by a doctor to treat severe pain. However, illegally manufactured fentanyl is often added to counterfeit (fake) pills and other substances with or without a person's knowledge, including: Counterfeit (fake) pills made to look like pills that come from a pharmacy and other illegal substances.

The overdose crisis is harming Texas youth at an alarming rate. Teenagers and young adults can buy illegal substances and counterfeit pills through social media — and many may be mixed with potentially fatal doses of fentanyl.

Even small amounts of fentanyl, equivalent to a few grains of sand, can be deadly. That means that any pill could be the one that causes an overdose. Remember, one pill kills.

TWHS has 9 students from Inage High School in Chiba Japan visiting for one week. They each stay with a family of a TWHS student, and we get to see them during our Summer Japan trip as well. During the week they visit a variety of different classes at our school, and we visit NASA together. We're so grateful to have this long, special relationship with their school. Thank you for our gift!

TWHS Choir delivered a stunning performance Tuesday evening at Christ Church Methodist. The sanctuary was filled with proud parents and friends. Thank you Mr. Newcomb, Ms. Newhouse, and Ms Zetterstrom for orchestrating a memorable and inspiring concert. The Woodlands High School was well represented at the Conroe ISD College Fair last night! There were over 175 college representatives available to meet with students and answer questions about their universities.

This past Friday, a German delegation from the German State Department commemorated our school as an official International German Partner School. This is a designation that only 14 schools in the USA have, and we are the only school in Texas to have this designation. Based on the rigor of our curriculum, the number of activities that we offer through our program, and the passion of the TWHS German teachers.
